This creative exploration project challenged me to bring form to an inspirational quote of my choice. In Adobe Photoshop, I created, modified, & refined a type made-by-hand poster, which depicts a quote that encourages people to look for the positives when failures or rejections arise.
Build Process
I sketched out some type made-by-hand ideas & picked the one that made most sense with my quote. A door metaphorically represents the meaning of my quote, so I decided to use keys to build my letters. Using scotch tape, I assembled my quote on a closed black door. The choice of using a closed black door was intentional because this obstacle represents the dark times that stem from failure or rejection. To highlight the positive words/idea behind my quote, I painted these keys bright green to symbolically portray that in darkness positivity can always be found if you look on the bright side.
