This wine bottle label was designed for a fictional wine company in Adobe InDesign &Ā Illustrator. We were given the ability to choose the location of ourĀ vineyard, so I selectedĀ TangermĆ¼nde, a sustainable small town in Germany I've visited before. The name of my fictional wine company was inspired by the town nameĀ & popular river nearby called Elbe River. On my label, I used a personalĀ TangermĆ¼nde picture. On my magazine ad, I usedĀ local Champaign, IL sustainableĀ paperĀ & a subtle topographic map of Germany in the background.
Process Sketches + Mind Map
The first step I took inĀ this project was to create a mind map based off three adjectives which described the location of my fictional vineyard. This activity informed the colors, aesthetic, & paper materialĀ of my label & ad. After my initial brainstorming & receiving critique, I sketched out label & magazine adĀ ideas & refined the best one for each.
